Job Title: R&D Project Lead / Senior R&D Manager

Job Summary:

Lead a team focused on specific product development projects. The primary focus is mould release agents and speciality coatings across industries / sectors. Projects will include improving existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leading the development of products based on assigned projects, including formulating, complete documentation, shelf-life testing, application validation etc.

- Application Validation of existing products and documentation to benchmark performance and create marketing material.

- Manage and train a team of chemists

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including application, QA, and manufacturing Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and development support to the R&D team

- Drive intellectual property creation and competitive benchmarking in target market segments

- Present progress and outcomes directly to company promoters and senior leadership

- Ensure strategic alignment of R&D efforts with business growth objectives

Required Qualifications and Skills

- PhD in Organic Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Silicone / Surface Coatings

- Experienced coatings formulator who has worked with silicone polymers and oil / emulsions

- Team Leader

- Experience managing end-to-end R&D projects, including new product development and commercialisation

- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for innovation

- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- At least 10-12 years of industrial experience in coatings and / or speciality chemicals
