Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pricing Strategy & Frameworks:
- Support the development and execution of data-backed pricing models that drive competitiveness and profitability across business verticals - Containers, Steel, Cement, FMCG, FMCD, Chemicals, Edible Oils, Bulkers, and Specialized Fleets (Tankers, Tip Trailers)
- Analyze key cost drivers - including distance, route mix, payload, utilization, fuel, tolls, and turnaround time - to ensure accuracy in cost modelling
- Partner with Sales and Operations to ensure pricing proposals reflect service feasibility, customer requirements, and business goals
- Continuously review and refine pricing assumptions to reflect market shifts, fuel cost variations, and operational efficiency metrics.
RFQ / RFI Analysis & Proposal Support:
- Support end-to-end RFQ / RFI analysis, interpreting scope, volume, and operational requirements to design competitive cost structures
- Work closely with Business Excellence, Operations, and Procurement teams to prepare accurate commercial proposals and route-level cost sheets
- Conduct pricing simulations and sensitivity analyses to assess impact on margins and profitability
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of pricing proposals, bid summaries, and customer quotations
Market Intelligence & Benchmarking:
- Track industry trends, freight indices, and competitor pricing movements to provide actionable insights for pricing decisions
- Maintain a comprehensive database of market rates, vendor tariffs, and lane-wise benchmarks
- Generate pricing dashboards and reports to support leadership reviews and decision-making
Profitability & Commercial Insights:
- Partner with Finance and Sales teams to monitor Gross Profit (GP), yield, and margin performance across key customers and routes
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability through route optimization, vehicle utilization, and vendor cost alignment
- Conduct post-bid analysis to evaluate success rates, pricing accuracy, and future improvement areas
Process Excellence & Collaboration:
- Ensure all pricing actions follow defined approval workflows, documentation standards, and audit guidelines
- Contribute to the enhancement of pricing tools, templates, and automation dashboards for faster turnaround
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align pricing outcomes with sales targets, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction goals
- Support leadership with periodic analytics and presentations on pricing trends and business performance
