Job Title: Manager Trade Finance (Consulting Role)

Experience: 10-15 years

Location: Hyderabad, India / (Hybrid/On-site as applicable)

Engagement: Project-based role supporting PwC Advisory Team

Role Overview:

Senior Trade Finance expert to support PwC consulting team in setting up trade finance products for a new age NBFC. The role focuses on evaluating existing cross-border financing products and assessing its suitability in the domestic and export/import trade to/from India, and designing new sector-focused trade finance solutions, with strong exposure to financial messaging and instruments (SWIFT, SFMS, MTL, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

- Work with PwC consultants and client teams to understand the NBFCs current cross-border trade finance products and strategy.

Evaluate existing trade finance products (e.g., back-to-back and front-to-back trade lines, supply chain finance, LC discounting, pre-export & advance financing etc.) for:

- Fitment in domestic and export/import markets to/from India

Regulatory, operational, and risk feasibility:

- Assess and recommend product applicability across identified sectors and customer segments

- Design new/modified trade finance products, including features, eligibility, documentation, collateral, pricing, risk mitigants, and operational workflows.

- Ensure designs are aligned with all RBI/FEMA, AML/KYC, compliance requirements, and ICC rules as applicable

- Incorporate practical use of financial messaging and instrument frameworks (SWIFT, SFMS, related message types) into product and process design.

- Contribute to product notes, policies, SOPs, and implementation roadmaps; support client workshops and presentations

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate; MBA/CA or equivalent preferred

- 1015 years of hands-on trade finance experience with banks and/or NBFCs

- Strong exposure to both domestic and international trade finance; prior experience in product design/structuring is preferred

- Working experience and in-depth understanding about all Financial Instruments involved in Trade Finance transactions (SWIFT, SFMS, MTL etc.)

- Familiarity with Indian regulatory environment and cross-border trade practices

Skills & Competencies:

- Deep technical knowledge of financial instruments, documentation, and risk

- Strong product design and analytical capabilities; ability to translate business needs into structured solutions

- Comfortable working in a consulting/project environment with cross-functional stakeholders.
