Role details: Position : Manager Education : - CA - Additional Qualification of CS will be an added advantage - Candidates with International tax certifications will have an added advantage Experience : 5 to 8 years post qualification SBU : Direct Tax Corporate : Job Description : The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of a Manager will include the following: - Taking complete responsibility on client engagements and assignments - Independently handling Advisory and Compliance engagements related to Direct Tax laws, such as Tax Structuring, Advisory, On-going Compliance, Litigation support, etc. - Ability to independently analyze and interpret provisions under the Income Tax Act as also provisions pertaining to International Tax, dealing with interpretation of Tax Treaties - Developing good rapport with middle / high level of client management - Independently responsible for execution and management of the assigned engagements - Proactively seeking opportunities to help the business grow and solving complex problems - Assistance in identifying pursuits and endeavoring to convert it to clients - Coordinating with ADs / Partners on the planning and management of the assignments - Providing timely and high quality services which exceeds client expectations - Updating clients on on-going matters on a prompt and regular basis, keeping track of industry developments - Taking technical sessions in internal Learning and Education (L&E) sessions - Active in knowledge sharing, contribution of Thought Leadership, article writing, etc. - Effectively handling team which may comprise of Analysts, Senior Analysts, Associates and AMs Profile Requirements : - Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience - Prior Experience in Big 4 in corporate tax will be an added advantage. Other prerequisite skills include: - Demonstrating innovative and critical thinking in managing projects - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical and numerical skills - Well-rounded commercial and economic awareness and understanding of the financial markets - Good interpersonal and networking skills - Passion for client servicing - Number crunching ability - Excellent eye for detail - Efficiency in MS office and report writing skills - Motivated, creative and decisive in approach to problem solving - Ownership and responsibility of clients/tasks delegated Subject Matter Expertise required : - Thorough knowledge of - Direct Tax, Corporate Tax (Income Tax & DTAA) - Corporate Law & International Tax - FEMA and Transfer Pricing - Basic general knowledge of Indirect tax
