Tax Controversy & Dispute Resolution

The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role will include the following:

- To keep complete track of all the matters of the litigation team across all location

- To draft / review the grounds of appeal/ objections before they are filed with the Tribunal/ CIT(A)/ DRP.

- To strategize, research and prepare the entire matter while assisting the Partner / Director in arguing cases before the Tribunal/ CIT(A)/ DRP;

- To take adjournments in the critical matters

- To guide and mentor juniors for preparation of matters

- To argue stay matters independently before the Tribunal

- To assist the client teams in strategizing the stay applications to be filed before the Department authorities/ Tribunal

- To brief senior/ junior counsels independently for matters which are handled by external counsels

- To maintain good relationship with the departmental representatives

- To ensure proper allocation of work to the junior colleagues in the team as per the capability of each team member

- To mentors and provide feedbacks to the team members on a regular basis

- To develop ideas and look for opportunities for business development

Profile Requirements To qualify for the same a Candidate will need:

To be a Qualified Chartered Accountant

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical and numerical skills

- Good interpersonal and networking skills

- Number crunching ability

- Efficiency in MS office and report writing skills

- Motivated, creative and decisive in approach to problem solving

- Ownership and responsibility of clients/tasks delegated

Subject Matter Expertise required

- Thorough technical knowledge of Indirect Tax, Direct Tax, International Tax and Transfer Pricing issues

- Good research and drafting skills
