Job Summary:
We are searching for an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager with 3-6 years of experience and a mandatory MBA to lead our procurement efforts.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, optimizing the supply chain, and managing vendor relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high-quality standards.
Your leadership and strategic vision will be crucial in enhancing our operational efficiency and bottom line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive purchasing strategies that align with organizational goals and budget objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability, fostering strong, long-term relationships.
- Lead complex negotiation processes with vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts.
- Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from requisition to order placement, delivery, and payment.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and internal purchasing data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Oversee inventory levels and collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize obsolescence.
- Establish and enforce purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and diversifying the supplier base.
- Mentor and develop a team of purchasing professionals, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of successful negotiation and vendor management.
- Strong understanding of global sourcing, logistics, and supply chain best practices.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and e-procurement platforms.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Knowledge of contract law and legal aspects of procurement.
- Experience in implementing sustainable and ethical sourcing practices
