
The role will drive strategic procurement, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost- effective, on- time delivery while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the procurement strategy for UPS modules, power- electronics components.
- Lead a team of buyers and negotiate contracts to achieve budgeted cost savings and delivery timelines.
- Manage the end- to- end purchase cycle: RFQ, vendor selection, PO issuance, order tracking, and invoice processing.
- Ensure all purchased parts meet Company's quality, reliability and regulatory (EMI/EMC, RoHS, etc.) requirements.
- Monitor market trends, commodity prices, and alternative sources to mitigate risk and capture savings.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and finance to align forecasts, inventory levels and budgeting.
- Oversee the vendor performance evaluation process and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in UPS manufacturing, power- electronics, or related electronics industries.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million-dollar spend and delivering cost-savings.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) or Supply Chain Management; MBA is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of components such as SMPS, inverters, batteries, transformers, and power modules.
