Job Summary:
The Purchase Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all procurement activities related to electrical and electromechanical components. This role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and ensuring cost-effective and high-quality\ procurement operations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of supply chain management within the manufacturing sector and demonstrate excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier relationships, including supplier selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to understand material requirements and ensure alignment with procurement plans.
- Monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to mitigate risks and identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee purchase order processing, supplier payments, and maintain accurate procurement records.
- Lead cross-functional teams for continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement status, supplier performance, and cost analysis for management review.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in procurement or purchasing within the manufacturing industry, preferably with electrical/electromechanical components.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
