Description:
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Procurement Expertise: Proven experience across direct materials (raw materials, packaging, finished goods) and indirect materials (MRO, CAPEX) categories.
- Strategic Sourcing & Category Management: Strong skills in cost reduction, supplier negotiation, market intelligence, alternate sourcing, and category strategy development.
Commodity & Packaging Knowledge: Deep understanding of steel, copper, aluminium, plastics, chemicals, and packaging materials such as drums, reels, and pallets.
- Supplier Partnership & Development: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, innovation, and cost competitiveness.
- Cost & Value Optimization: Lead initiatives in strategic sourcing, value engineering, and alternate material development to drive continuous cost improvement.
- Process Excellence & Digital Transformation: Experience into Digitalization in procurement implement e-procurement systems, supplier portals, analytics dashboards, and promote data driven decision-making.
- Governance & Compliance: Introduce best practices in contract governance, category management, spend analytics, and ensure adherence to ethical sourcing and sustainability standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance teams to align sourcing plans with production schedules and budget goals.
- Analytical & Risk Management Skills: Strong ability in spend analysis, cost modelling, vendor scorecards, KPI tracking, and proactive risk mitigation across the supply chain.
- Leadership & Team Development: Proven ability to lead large procurement teams, mentor talent, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- System & Technology Savvy: Working knowledge of ERP procurement modules, contract management tools, and supply chain analytics platforms.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent negotiation, communication (English & Hindi/local language), and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Adaptability & Mobility: Willingness to travel for vendor audits, supplier visits, and material/packaging evaluations as required.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in strategic procurement of MRO, capex, raw material, packaging material,etc.
- Proven record in digital transformation ERP integration, e-sourcing, data analytics, automation.
- Excellent negotiation, cost management, and supplier development capabilities.
- Sound knowledge of commodity markets (copper, aluminium, PVC).
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
