Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the overall procurement and sourcing strategy aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Lead and manage all procurement activities related to electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components.
- Oversee supplier development programs to build strong, reliable supplier partnerships and improve quality and delivery performance.
- Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize costs while ensuring quality and timely supply.
- Monitor and enhance supply chain efficiency, mitigating risks and addressing supply disruptions proactively.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
- Champion digital transformation within the procurement function by implementing advanced technologies and process improvements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, finance, and operations to align procurement strategies with overall business goals.
- Analyze market trends, benchmark procurement practices, and recommend improvements to maintain competitive advantage.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, cost savings, supplier performance, and risk management to senior leadership.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (B.Tech) or a related field.
- 15 to 25 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management within the manufacturing sector.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years in a senior leadership role overseeing strategic sourcing and procurement.
- Extensive experience in sourcing electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to drive cost optimization and supply chain efficiency initiatives.
- Experience with procurement digitalization and ERP systems implementation is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
