Role Overview:
PIBM College is seeking a dynamic and academically strong Head of Department (HOD) - Marketing who brings rich industry exposure from the FMCD sector. The ideal candidate has previously served as a Regional Head, led cross-functional marketing initiatives, and trained Area Sales Managers (ASMs) on product strategy, channel management, and sales execution.
This is a Professor-level leadership role, responsible for shaping curriculum, driving marketing excellence, mentoring students, and building industry-academia partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
- Lead the Marketing Department, ensuring high academic rigor, curriculum innovation, and strong learning outcomes.
- Design, review, and upgrade course content aligned with current market practices in FMCD, digital marketing, consumer insights, brand management, and sales strategy.
- Deliver high-impact classroom sessions, workshops, and case-based learning.
Industry Integration:
- Bring real-world FMCD exposure into the classroom through case studies, simulations, and market projects.
- Build strong industry networks for guest lectures, internships, and corporate projects.
- Guide students on emerging marketing trends, consumer behavior, and channel management.
Faculty & Team Management:
- Mentor faculty members, ensuring continuous skill development and academic quality.
- Conduct internal training for faculty on updated marketing concepts and FMCD best practices.
Student Development:
- Mentor students on marketing strategy, sales fundamentals, distribution, brand building, and product management.
- Drive placement readiness through training programs, mock interviews, and live projects.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Represent the Marketing Department in academic councils, audits, and institutional committees.
- Ensure departmental compliance with academic standards and accreditation requirements.
- Oversee departmental planning, budgeting, and performance reviews.
Must-Have Qualifications & Experience:
- MBA from a Tier-1 Institute or a college with NIRF Rank #1.
- 5+ years of professional experience, including:
- Prior role as Regional Head in the FMCD industry.
- Experience training and mentoring Area Sales Managers.
- Strong exposure to channel sales, distribution networks, marketing strategy, and trade marketing.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and academic delivery skills.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in curriculum development or academic training.
- Exposure to brand management, digital marketing, and analytics.
- Participation in industry forums or thought-leadership initiatives.
- Research publications in marketing or management journals.
Work Model:
- Full-time on-campus role at PIBM College.
