Key Responsibilities:
Public Relations & Media Relations
- Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies aligned with business, brand, and growth objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with national, regional, and digital media, journalists, and fintech influencers.
- Draft and manage press releases, media pitches, and interviews for leadership.
- Plan and execute press conferences, media briefings, and industry events.
Corporate Communications:
- Lead external communications related to product launches, partnerships, funding announcements, and key milestones.
- Ensure consistent, clear, and accurate messaging across all public-facing channels.
- Prepare communication toolkits, FAQs, and talking points for senior leadership.
Reputation & Crisis Management:
- Monitor media coverage, online sentiment, and industry developments impacting the brand.
- Proactively manage reputational risks and handle crisis communication effectively.
- Act as the primary PR spokesperson during sensitive situations.
Thought Leadership & Brand Positioning:
- Position the company as a trusted and responsible digital lending brand.
- Drive thought leadership through articles, opinion pieces, panel discussions, and industry forums.
- Support employer branding initiatives in collaboration with HR and marketing teams.
Compliance & Stakeholder Communication:
- Ensure all communications comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards applicable to digital lending.
- Support communication with regulators, industry bodies, and strategic partners, as required.
Agency & Performance Management:
- Manage PR agencies and external partners, including planning, execution, and performance evaluation.
- Track PR metrics such as media coverage, sentiment, share of voice, and brand visibility.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong media relations and storytelling capabilities
- Experience in crisis communication and reputation management
- Strategic thinking with a strong understanding of fintech and digital lending
- Stakeholder and agency management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
- Masters degree preferred
- 610 years of PR experience, preferably in fintech, digital lending, BFSI, or financial services
