Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Fixed Income Dealer with strong experience in Debt Capital Markets (DCM), primary market bond placements, institutional fixed income sales, and secondary market dealing. The ideal candidate will possess strong relationships with issuers, investors, banks, NBFCs, mutual funds, family offices, insurance companies, and corporate treasuries, while contributing to the growth of our Fixed Income business.

Key Responsibilities:

Debt Capital Markets (DCM):

- Originate debt fundraising mandates from corporates, NBFCs, HFCs, and financial institutions.

- Assist clients in structuring debt instruments, including NCDs, Bonds, Commercial Papers (CP), Market Linked Debentures (MLDs), and other fixed income products.

- Coordinate with credit rating agencies, legal advisors, trustees, depositories, and stock exchanges for transaction execution.

- Prepare investor presentations, term sheets, information memorandums, and transaction documentation.

- Drive end-to-end execution of debt issuance from mandate acquisition to successful closure.

Institutional Sales & Distribution:

- Market primary bond issuances to institutional and non-institutional investors.

- Develop and manage relationships with Banks, Mutual Funds, Insurance Companies, Pension & Provident Funds, Family Offices, Wealth Management Firms, Corporate Treasuries, and AIFs/PMSs/HNIs.

- Achieve placement targets for primary debt issuances.

Fixed Income Trading & Dealing:

- Execute secondary market transactions in Government Securities (G-Secs), SDLs, Treasury Bills, Corporate Bonds and Money Market Instruments.

- Source and quote competitive prices for fixed-income securities.

- Monitor interest rate movements, liquidity conditions, RBI policies, and bond market developments.

- Coordinate with counterparties and operations teams for seamless trade settlement.

Business Development:

- Generate new business opportunities in DCM and Fixed Income investments.

- Build long-term relationships with issuers and institutional investors.

- Identify cross-selling opportunities across capital market products.

- Maintain a healthy pipeline of mandates and investors.

Market Intelligence:

- Track macroeconomic indicators, RBI monetary policy, inflation, yields, and credit markets.

- Prepare periodic market updates for clients and internal stakeholders.

- Identify emerging investment opportunities in the fixed income market.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing fixed income portfolios and executing complex trades within the Indian debt capital markets.

- Strong analytical proficiency in evaluating credit risk, yield curves, and the structural nuances of market-linked debentures.

Technical Knowledge:

- Corporate Bonds & Pricing on Excel

- Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs)

- Commercial Papers (CP)

- Government Securities (G-Secs)

- State Development Loans (SDLs)

- Treasury Bills

- Fixed Income Valuation

- Yield Curve Analysis

- Credit Markets

- SEBI and RBI regulations relating to debt markets

Skills Required:

- Strong relationship management and networking skills.

- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.

- Ability to originate and close debt transactions.

- Good understanding of financial statements and credit analysis.

- High level of integrity and client-centric approach.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Qualification and Certification:

- MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent qualification preferred.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or related discipline.
