
Job Profile:
The Senior Project Manager will be a driving force behind the implementation of the global replatforming initative for the Cash Equities business and will oversee 5 workstreams as well as having some holistic programme responsibilities. This is a Global role that requires close collaboration with the project management team, product owners, trading desks, technology teams, and other functional stakeholders across mulitple geographies and timezones to ensure the successful global implementation and migration of the trading platform.
We are seeking a high calibre professioanl whom is highly organised, diligent with high attention to detail and has a strong work ethic who will be responsible for developing and overseeing global project plans, gathering requirements, analysing current and future-state processes, creating implementation/migration plans, overseeing implementation, ensuring all business readiness tasks are completed, and ensuring that the new platform meets business and regulatory needs.
In addition, the candidate should have experience in Agile ways of working, and have a 'continual improvement' mindset to drive continuous change and improvements to influence and uplift the Project team. Embedding and utilising innovative tools (such as AI) wherever possible.
It is a very exciting time to join the team as we are currently in the process of building new Future State Architecture for our Cash Equity business. In this role you will:
- Project Delivery and Control: Shape and lead the project from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation. Utilise pragmatic application of programme management methodologies, including the use of a clearly defined delivery roadmap and robust financial and risk management strategies.
- Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation, underpinned by driving the embedding of Objectives and Key Results and alignment to Value Streams.
- Business Readiness: Work extensively with Product Owners, Tech teams, Front Office and Functions to identify tasks, define and document the implementation plan, ensuring business readiness activities for platform intergration are completed and required training delivered, ensuringcompliance with mandatory and regulatory requirements.
- Process Design: Work extensively with Product Owners, Tech teams, Front Office and Functions to define and document interim and future state business processes and target operating model to support the day-to-day management of the Cash Equities business, to enable the safe implementation of the new platform.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead the delivery of the platform implementation through establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders. Responsible for building and maintaining key relationships with particular Divisions or Business Units. Provides day-to-day contact on project status and changes. Analyse project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met. Ensuring processes and agreed Ways of Working are in place to effectively oversee changes to the project. Challenge teams to deliver more, deliver creatively and to work with them to offset and address any challenges.
- OKR defintion: Drive and oversee the annual and quarterly process to articulate and commit Objectives and Key Results across all global workstreams. Ensure alignment of quarterly goals across workstreams, identifying dependencies and challenge the teams to delivery more to achieve annual committed goals. overseeing the process to identify dependencies
- Risk and Governance: Continuously evaluates project for financial and people risk and regulatory compliance and takes appropriate steps to mitigate. Creates, implements and operates within an appropriate governance framework which aligns to the wider Group governance framework and Change Framework Standards.
- Management Reporting: Create, track and report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate forums, management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
Requirements:
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum 8 years project management or change management experience, with a preference for Investment banking experience and Cash Equities being preferred
- Management Consultancy experience or equivalent in house in a financial institution beneficial.
- Excellent project management analytical skills and task management skills.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environment, with the ability to implement best practices and uplift teams.
- Previous experience of delivering a large scale technology and/or front office change in a global team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Able to operate as part of a team lead or independently as require.
- Ability to work flexibly and take responsibility for all areas of work as required
- Proven track record in building trusted relationship and demonstrating the ability to influence across business/technology and at various levels.
- Investment Banking, Front Office and/or Cash Equity experience preferred.
- Experience using tools such as Confluence, Clarity, AI tools a must.
