Role Overview:

As a Data Privacy Senior Manager / Associate Director, you will be responsible for leading and executing data privacy initiatives for our clients across various industries. You will work closely with client stakeholders, internal teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with global data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and India's DPDP Act. This role requires a strong understanding of data privacy principles, risk management methodologies, and IT compliance frameworks. Your expertise will be crucial in helping our clients build robust data privacy programs, mitigate risks, and maintain customer trust.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive data privacy programs for clients, aligning with global regulations and industry best practices, to ensure data protection and compliance.

- Conduct data privacy assessments and gap analyses to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend remediation strategies, thereby minimizing potential risks.

- Provide expert guidance on data privacy matters to client stakeholders, including legal, IT, and business teams, to foster a culture of privacy awareness and accountability.

- Lead the development and delivery of data privacy training programs to educate employees on their responsibilities and promote data protection practices.

- Manage and respond to data breaches and privacy incidents, including conducting investigations, implementing containment measures, and notifying relevant parties, to minimize impact and maintain regulatory compliance.

- Monitor and interpret changes in data privacy laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and provide proactive advice to clients.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data privacy considerations into new and existing business processes and systems, ensuring privacy by design.

- Oversee the development and maintenance of data privacy policies, procedures, and documentation to support compliance efforts and demonstrate accountability.

- Manage and mentor a team of data privacy professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and expertise.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage data privacy programs in complex organizational environments.

- Proven expertise in conducting data privacy assessments, gap analyses, and risk assessments.

- Strong understanding of global data privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and India's DPDP Act.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

- Ability to analyze complex data privacy issues and develop practical solutions.

- Experience in leading and managing teams, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Information Security, Law, or Business Administration.

- Certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT are highly desirable.

- Adaptable to a hybrid work environment, combining remote work with on-site client engagements as needed.
