Protiviti - Project Management Role - Bulk Purchase Annuity & Individual Annuity

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - BPA & IA to manage and deliver projects within the Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) and Individual Annuity (IA) portfolios. The role requires strong domain exposure in the pension or insurance industry, along with proven experience in vendor management, to ensure successful execution of strategic and regulatory initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end project delivery across BPA and IA initiatives, from planning through execution and closure.

- Manage project scope, timelines, budget, risks, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.

- Partner with business, actuarial, operations, finance, legal, and compliance teams to deliver annuity-related projects.

- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers, ensuring effective delivery against agreed SLAs and milestones.

- Oversee vendor governance, including performance reviews, commercials, issue resolution, and escalations.

- Ensure projects comply with regulatory, governance, and risk management standards applicable to pension and insurance businesses.

- Drive stakeholder communication, status reporting, and executive-level updates.

- Support change management, operational readiness, and post-implementation reviews.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 8+ years of overall experience in Project Management within the pension or insurance industry.

- Strong hands-on experience with Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) and/or Individual Annuity (IA) products.

- Proven vendor management experience, including third-party coordination and delivery oversight.

- Solid understanding of annuity product lifecycle, policy administration, and regulatory considerations.

- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

- Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent).

- Experience working with actuarial, underwriting, or annuity operations teams.

- Exposure to large-scale transformation or regulatory change programs within insurance or pensions.
