Responsibilities: - Overseeing and managing the entire legal, compliance and secretarial function while working directly with PropShare's leadership team; - Providing advice to the leadership team on general corporate matters, regulatory regime and changes in laws applicable to the PropShare group; - Liaising effectively with an array of consultants, advisors, regulators, and external counsels to manage multiple projects such as obtaining legal opinion on legal structures, title opinions of the assets, reviewing and updating internal and external legal documents; - Managing the regulatory aspects of the company's business and proactively advising the leadership team on potential risks and risk mitigation strategies; - Serve as lead counsel on strategic deals, resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries; - Assist external lawyers in closing VC/PE investment into PropShare entities; - Overseeing conduct of board and general meetings of all PropShare entities in compliance with applicable law; - Manage and be responsible for the Group's risk management policy and framework; and - Hiring legal and compliance resources as and when required. - Law degree from a recognised, reputed university; - Between 10-12 years PQE in reputed law firms or in-house with relevant sectoral experience; - Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with an ability to work and take considered decisions in a fast-paced environment; - Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) skills; - Prior experience in the real estate industry, the financial services industry, or both; - Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across various teams (operations, sales, tech, product, etc); Regulations: SEBI / RERA etc
