Role Overview:

As the Senior Manager - Collection Strategy & Analytics, you will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven collection strategies to optimize recovery rates and minimize delinquency across our loan portfolio. You will work closely with the Collections Operations team, Data Science team, and senior management to identify trends, implement effective collection strategies, and monitor performance. Your insights will directly impact the profitability and sustainability of Propelld's lending operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of loan portfolios to optimize collection and recovery strategies.

- Predict portfolio collection trends

- Design, implement, and monitor collection and recovery approaches tailored to different loan products.

- Maintain and deliver quality reports on overdue cases on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

- Identify opportunities to improve early and late bucket collection efficiencies for differentiated treatment and implementation.

- Analyze and optimize on collection and recovery costs

- Analyze performance metrics of inhouse and third-party channels

- Proactively communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.

- Support the preparation of comprehensive reports for top management, business reviews, and Board presentations.

- Analyze data to detect early warning signals related to productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness, provide actionable insights to enable corrective measures by the collection team.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Technology, Product, Operations, Business, and other teams to implement data-driven collection strategies.

- Utilize advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to develop reports, dashboards, and presentations.

- Coordinate with Collections operations to drive key risk strategies to improve resolution rates, roll rates, and recoveries.

- Oversee vendor agreements, including vendor payout calculations, cost forecasting, and incentive structuring for the in-house collection team.

- Develop and roll out interactive dashboards to track employee productivity

- Manage and respond to audit queries related to collections and recovery processes.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement data-driven collection strategies in an NBFC or financial institution.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R.

- Deep understanding of collection operations, delinquency management, and recovery strategies.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience in managing and monitoring the performance of collection agencies.

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, or a related discipline.

- 5-8 years of experience in Collections Analytics, Collection Strategy, or a related field within the NBFC/Fintech space.
