The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) lifecycle of assigned projects, ensuring delivery within the defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality parameters. The role demands strong capabilities in project planning, execution management, stakeholder coordination, and risk mitigation, enabling seamless progress from project initiation through commissioning.
We are seeking a senior Civil Engineering professional with 16+ years of experience in managing large-scale industrial construction projects, including hydrogen, ammonia, syngas, and utility systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven expertise in execution planning, contractor and site management, structural foundations, pipe racks, equipment interface coordination, and strong safety leadership. A solid background in EPC coordination, cost and schedule control, and on-time delivery of civil works for complex, multi-discipline process plants is essential.
Key Accountabilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement the overall project execution strategy, including work breakdown structures, timelines, budgets, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
- Define project scope and deliverables; establish clear milestones, dependencies, and business readiness requirements.
- Identify and onboard suitable vendors, contractors, engineering partners, and technology providers.
- Oversee procurement planning, equipment acquisition, and feedstock sourcing as required for project execution.
- Lead the execution of asset relocation and transfer projects, including dismantling, logistics coordination, reconstruction, commissioning, and procurement activities.
- Drive project progress, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure adherence to operational, technical, and safety standards.
2. Budgeting & Financial Management
- Prepare, monitor, and control project-level budgets and financial performance to ensure cost-effective execution.
- Review cost estimates, validate vendor pricing, and enforce cost-optimization measures across construction, materials, and operational processes.
- Track project P&L, manage variations, and highlight deviations with timely corrective actions.
3. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all required permits, licenses, approvals, and certifications are obtained and renewed in line with statutory requirements.
- Enforce compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, environmental norms, and corporate governance guidelines.
- Develop and implement audit procedures, oversee internal/external audits, and report compliance status to senior management.
4. Risk Management
- Identify potential risks across engineering, procurement, construction, and supply chain activities.
- Develop mitigation strategies to address delays, contractor challenges, equipment failures, and safety hazards.
- Establish a proactive issue-resolution and escalation mechanism to ensure uninterrupted project flow.
5. Contract & Stakeholder Management
- Lead contract negotiation, structuring, award, execution, and performance monitoring for contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, engineering firms, suppliers, and internal teams.
