- The Projects Head (Civil Engineer) is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering hospital and school construction projects from concept to completion.


- This role ensures that all projects meet technical specifications, regulatory compliance, safety standards, timelines, and budget requirements. The position requires strong leadership, multidisciplinary coordination, and expertise in both healthcare and educational infrastructure & will involve extensive travel to all project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Management

- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.

- Conduct feasibility studies and site evaluations.

- Define project scope, deliverables, milestones, and risk assessments.

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across various locations.

2. Design & Technical Oversight

- Lead design development for hospital and school buildings including structural, architectural, MEP, and interior layouts.

- Review and approve drawings, BOQs, design calculations, and technical specifications.

- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (NABH, local health regulations) and school infrastructure norms.

3. Construction Supervision

- Oversee end-to-end construction activities including excavation, structural works, finishing, and services installations.

- Monitor progress through site visits, reports, and coordination with project teams.

- Ensure quality control, safety protocols, and adherence to engineering best practices.

4. Vendor & Contractor Coordination

- Evaluate, appoint, and manage contractors, consultants, and vendors.

- Negotiate contracts and ensure smooth execution as per agreed terms.

- Resolve technical issues, variations, and site challenges promptly.

5. Budgeting & Cost Control

- Prepare detailed project budgets and track expenditures.

- Implement cost-control measures to avoid overruns.

- Approve bills, claims, and financial reports.

6. Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure all statutory approvals and permits are obtained on time.

- Coordinate with government authorities, local bodies, and regulatory agencies.

- Maintain full compliance with building codes, fire safety norms, environmental requirements, and accessibility standards.

7. Team Leadership

- Lead a multidisciplinary project team including engineers, architects, supervisors, and safety officers.

- Provide mentorship, training, and performance feedback.

- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

8. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

- Prepare progress updates, MIS reports, risk logs, and project dashboards.

- Communicate regularly with management, clients, and other stakeholders.

- Address concerns, delays, and changes proactively.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).

- Master's in Construction Management or Structural Engineering (preferred).

- Minimum 15 years of experience in construction of Schools/Hospitals

- Excellent project management skills.

- Proven track record of delivering large-scale hospital / school infrastructure projects.

- Strong knowledge of healthcare & educational building standards.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project / Primavera, Revit, and engineering software.

- Expertise in structural design, MEP coordination, and finishing works.

- Leadership and team management.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
