Role Overview
Seeking a senior Mechanical Procurement Specialist with strong experience in sourcing mechanical systems and plant auxiliaries for infrastructure, power, renewable, and Capex projects. The role involves end-to-end procurement, tendering, vendor evaluation, costing, and contract finalization for mechanical, MEP, and CSA packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead procurement of mechanical systems, plant auxiliaries, and MEP/CSA packages.
- Execute full tendering cycle (RFI/RFQ, PQ, TBA, CBA, vendor selection).
- Conduct cost estimation, comparative analysis, and technical/commercial evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with international standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, API, ASME, ISO, ASTM).
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams for specification alignment.
- Support FAT, logistics coordination, and documentation for audits.
- Track market trends and recommend process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven procurement experience in HVAC, fire protection, cooling water systems, drainage, dewatering, cranes, elevators, pipes/plastics machinery, and mechanical plant equipment.
- Strong knowledge of EPC procurement, FIDIC, Incoterms, UCP 600.
- Expertise in costing, bid evaluation, and supplier negotiations.
- Proficiency in ERP and procurement tools
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
