Position: Project Sourcing Specialist - Electrical

Location: Pune, India

Experience Required: 12-15 years

Qualification: B.E./M.E. in Electrical Engineering (Procurement/Supply Chain certifications preferred)

Mandatory Skills: Candidate should have worked in a POWER PROJECT COMPANY with experience in TENDER MANAGEMENT ( It's a must).

Role Overview

Looking for an Electrical Procurement Specialist with deep expertise in sourcing electrical equipment and plant auxiliaries for power, renewable, transmission, and Capex projects. The role includes tendering, bid analysis, techno-commercial evaluations, and contract negotiations for high-value electrical packages.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end tendering and procurement for electrical & E&I packages.

- Prepare RFQs, conduct clarifications, perform TBA/CBA, and finalize vendors.

- Procure transformers, switchgear (HV/MV/LV), cabling systems, lighting, grounding, protection/automation systems, DG sets, substation equipment, and solar/hydro project equipment.

- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, ANSI, ISO and regulatory requirements.

- Negotiate commercial terms and manage supplier KPIs.

- Coordinate with engineering, EPC contractors, and consultants.

- Support FAT, logistics planning, and procurement documentation.

- Maintain supplier database and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Extensive procurement experience in electrical systems, plant auxiliaries, and power infrastructure equipment.

- Strong techno-commercial knowledge, tendering expertise, and EPC/vendor management.

- Understanding of FIDIC, Incoterms, UCP 600, procurement procedures, and utility/HSE standards.

- Excellent skills in costing, bid evaluation, ERP tools, and supplier negotiations.

- Strong analytical and communication skills.

- Preferred Industry: Power EPC, Transmission, Substation, or Renewable Projects.
