Project Manager - Supply Chain Management Lean Excellence - Contractual

Role Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on SCM Lean Excellence Project Manager with 46 years of experience in supply chain planning within the CPG or Pharmaceutical industry. This role will focus on supporting planning improvement initiatives across demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, and logistics planning functions. The candidate will help streamline processes, drive small to mid-scale lean initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve planning effectiveness and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning Process Support & Improvement

- Assist in identifying gaps and inefficiencies in demand, supply, and logistics planning processes.

- Contribute to planning process improvement initiatives using lean tools and best practices.

- Support standardization and documentation of planning processes and KPIs.

Lean and Continuous Improvement

- Apply basic lean and continuous improvement techniques (e.g., 5S, root cause analysis, visual management) to drive incremental improvements.

- Participate in workshops and improvement projects aimed at increasing forecast accuracy, reducing planning cycle times, and improving inventory health.

Project Coordination

- Coordinate and track progress of ongoing planning improvement projects.

- Work with planning teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and outcomes.

- Assist in preparing presentations, status updates, and performance reports.

Collaboration & Support

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including planners, supply chain operations, IT, and data analytics teams.

- Support change management activities by helping teams adopt new processes and tools.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- 4-6 years of experience in supply chain planning, preferably in CPG or Pharmaceutical industries.

- Good understanding of demand planning, supply planning, S&OP, and logistics planning processes.

- Exposure to supply chain planning tools (e.g., Excel, SAP APO/IBP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar).

- Basic knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.

- Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or related field.

- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (White or Yellow Belt), or APICS (desirable but not mandatory).

- Experience working in or supporting supply chain excellence or transformation initiatives.
