Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager SCM to lead strategic supply chain and sourcing initiatives across localization, cost optimization, supplier development, and new product introduction. The role will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and suppliers to strengthen the supply base, improve cost competitiveness, and ensure timely execution of strategic sourcing projects.

- Lead localization and import substitution initiatives to increase local sourcing and reduce dependency on imports.

- Drive cost optimization programs through VA/VE, alternate sourcing, should-cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and value engineering initiatives.

- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop new suppliers to strengthen supplier capability and supply continuity.

- Lead supplier development initiatives focused on improving quality, cost, delivery, capacity, productivity, and overall supplier performance.

- Support NPI/NPD programs by ensuring sourcing plans, supplier selection, qualification, capacity, tooling, and readiness are aligned with project timelines.

- Manage end-to-end sourcing and supply management projects, including scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, deliverables, and implementation.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.

- Track project progress, supplier readiness, cost savings, localization targets, risks, and corrective actions through defined KPIs.

- Work with suppliers on technical and commercial issues to ensure timely implementation of cost reduction, localization, and new product sourcing initiatives.

- Drive alternate sourcing and supplier diversification initiatives to improve competitiveness and supply resilience.

- Use SAP/ERP systems to track sourcing activities, project milestones, procurement data, supplier performance, and relevant metrics.

- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality requirements, commercial controls, and organizational governance standards.

- Prepare project reviews, management reports, and recommendations for senior leadership.

Required Candidate Profile:

- 12 - 18 years of experience in Project Management, Strategic Sourcing, Localization, Supplier Development, Cost Optimization, or Supply Chain Management.

- Strong experience in localization, VA/VE, cost-down initiatives, NPI sourcing, supplier development, and cross-functional project management.

- Experience in Engineering, Machine Building, Automotive, Industrial Equipment, Capital Goods, or related manufacturing industries preferred.

- Proven track record of delivering sourcing projects, cost savings, localization targets, and supplier capability improvements.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier qualification, sourcing methodologies, and commercial negotiations.

- Experience working with Engineering, Production, Quality, Finance, Procurement, and external suppliers in complex project environments.

- Good working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems and supply chain processes.

- Strong project planning, analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
