ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Project Manager / Senior Project Manager will be deputed on-site in Hyderabad for a major clienta leading US Bio-Pharma multinationalto lead day-to-day project execution and end-to-end delivery. In this role, you will oversee a major brownfield lab infrastructure expansion project valued at approximately 100 Crore. Directing a dedicated site team of 1012 engineering and project management professionals, you will serve as the principal face of the organization for client leadership, vendors, design consultants, and site stakeholders. Operating on a 6-day onsite schedule, this high-visibility contractual role (renewable annually) requires technical depth in specialized MEP packages, bio-pharma domain expertise, commercial acumen, and strong leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Project Management & Brownfield Execution: Lead end-to-end execution of the 100 Crore brownfield bio-pharma laboratory project from site mobilization, retrofitting, and construction through commissioning and client handover.

- MEP Package Oversight: Drive site execution with specialized technical oversight across key MEP packages (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or Fire Protection systems).

- Site Governance & Quality (6 Days Onsite): Maintain continuous on-site presence (6 days/week) to conduct daily progress reviews, direct resources, manage brownfield integration constraints, and ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

- Client Partnership: Function as the primary interface with client representatives, maintaining transparent communication, managing site expectations, addressing brownfield risks proactively, and providing routine updates.

- Schedule Recovery & Risk Resolution: Identify brownfield execution risks and delivery delays early; formulate and execute practical, corrective recovery schedules for delayed work packages.

- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, coach, and inspire a site team of 1012 professionals (including Engineers, Assistant Managers, and Managers); cultivate execution discipline, high morale, and retention.

- Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Chair vendor meetings and site negotiations, evaluate contractor performance and compliance, and resolve site-level commercial or operational disputes.

- Technical Coordination: Review and interpret complex MEP, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire, Revit, and AutoCAD drawings; identify design clashes or brownfield retrofitting discrepancies (drafting proficiency not required).

- Financial & Revenue Management: Drive timely generation and submission of client invoices, monitor accounts receivable and collections, and manage cash flow and profitability at the project level.

- Project Governance & Reporting: Maintain complete documentation including weekly MIS reports, management dashboards, risk registers, action trackers, and real-time status updates within agreed timelines.

PROJECT ENVIRONMENT:

- Brownfield Bio-Pharma Fit-outs: Execution within existing, operational bio-pharma laboratory facilities requiring continuous risk assessment and brownfield retrofitting.

- MEP-Intensive Infrastructure: Complex integration of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Protection systems.

- Multi-Party Stakeholder Matrix: Collaborative execution environment involving corporate bio-pharma client teams, engineering consultants, specialized vendors, and on-ground execution teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Professional Experience: 15-20 years of hands-on experience in project management, project execution, or EPC delivery in contracting/engineering environments.

- MEP Package Expertise: Specialized expertise in any core MEP disciplineMechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or Fire Protection systems within complex facilities.

- Brownfield Project Exposure: Demonstrated experience managing brownfield, refurbishment, or expansion projects within pharmaceutical, bio-chemical, or healthcare facilities.

- Leadership & Site Presence: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams (1012 members) and comfortable with a 6-day/week onsite deployment.

- Technical Drawing Interpretation: Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting Revit models and AutoCAD drawings to spot coordination gaps.

- Client & Commercial Acumen: Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and client relationship management capabilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Education: Bachelors degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering disciplines.

- Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent credential preferred.

- Domain Expertise: Solid experience executing MEP infrastructure in Pharma, Bio-Chemical, or Healthcare sectors.

- Commercial Exposure: Experience handling invoice milestones, receivables, cash flow, and cost control for project sites.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs):

- Customer Satisfaction (CSAT): Target 9/10 score maintained through transparent communication, prompt issue resolution, and quality execution.

- Project Delivery Performance: 100% target alignment with agreed schedule, scope, budget, brownfield safety, and quality benchmarks.

- Team Retention & Morale: Target 9/10 team effectiveness and engagement score with low avoidable attrition.

- Financial Governance: Timely client billing, prompt follow-up on receivables, and positive cash flow visibility.

- MIS & Reporting Discipline: Zero-lag submission of decision-useful weekly MIS, action trackers, and risk logs.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS PACKAGE:

A) Salary & Incentive Structure:

- Base Salary: 30.0 to 40.0 Lakhs per annum (CTC), depending on experience and capability.

- Variable Incentive: 1015% performance-based variable pay as per company policy.

- ESOP: Eligibility for ESOPs as per company policy.

- Group Medical Insurance: 4.0 Lakhs family floater coverage (Self, Spouse, Children, Parents).
