About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong expertise in EPC project engineering management and project management for international Oil & Gas related projects, including gas processing, LNG, petroleum refining, petrochemical, and chemical projects.
The ideal candidate should have experience in handling large-scale EPC projects, including projects valued above USD 300 million, along with strong coordination experience with overseas customers, subsidiaries, licensors, vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager or Project Engineering Manager in project management and engineering management activities.
- Issue necessary instructions to personnel assigned to the project.
- Prepare project procedures and project control plans.
- Control project cost, schedule, and revenue status as per the established plan.
- Monitor and assess the performance of project activities within the assigned scope.
- Propose corrective actions for unsatisfactory situations and take action as instructed by the Project Manager or Engineering Manager.
- Control HSE and Quality requirements for the assigned part of the project.
- Maintain communication and coordination among clients, joint venture partners, vendors, subcontractors, and internal JGC teams as per established procedures.
- Continuously monitor and assess the performance of the assigned project scope.
- Promptly initiate or inform superiors regarding the need for corrective actions in all unsatisfactory situations.
- Remain accountable to the Project Manager or Project Engineering Manager for assigned responsibilities.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Academic Background:
- Degree from a recognized university.
Professional Experience:
- More than 12 years of experience in EPC project engineering management.
- Strong project management experience across international Oil & Gas related projects.
- Experience in gas processing, LNG, petroleum refining, petrochemical, chemical, or related projects.
- Experience handling large-scale EPC projects, preferably above USD 300 million.
- Experience coordinating in English with overseas customers, subsidiaries, licensors, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Skills:
- Strong negotiation and coordination skills with customers, joint venture partners, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Ability to coordinate smoothly with design teams and multiple execution departments across internal and overseas subsidiaries.
- Strong understanding of EPC execution elements including cost, change claims, extension of time claims, risks, and trend management.
- Good knowledge and experience related to procurement and construction for overall project optimization.
- Ability to manage people, goods, money, and information effectively.
- Strong project control, communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of HSE, Quality, cost, schedule, revenue, and project performance management.
People Management:
- Mentor and train junior engineers within the department.
- Supervise and review work performed by junior staff whenever required.
- Build mutual trust and respect in working relationships.
- Respect diversity and encourage cooperation and teamwork.
- Maintain open, transparent, and effective two-way communication.
