Project Manager - Java - Communications/Telecom/SATCOM/Defense Electronics

Role Overview:

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong technical background in Java, Communications, Telecom, SATCOM, or Defense Electronics? We are looking for a technically strong leader who can manage complex software projects involving hardware integration, communication protocols, and cross-functional engineering teams.

This is not a generic IT Project Management role. We are specifically looking for candidates who have worked on communication systems, telecom products, defense electronics, SATCOM, radar, networking protocols, or embedded hardware-software integrated projects.

Mandatory Technical Skills:

- Strong experience in Java application development

- Hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot

- Good exposure to React JS

- Experience managing Java-based software projects

- Strong understanding of Multi-threading

- Knowledge of databases: MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL

- Experience in application performance optimization

- Strong Software Engineering fundamentals

- UML, System Design & Technical Documentation

- Unit Testing & Code Coverage.

Communication Protocol Experience (Must Have):

- Candidates should have working knowledge of one or more of the following: TCP/IP, UDP, SIP, VoIP, SSH, SCP, SNMP, Proprietary Communication Protocols, Protocol Development & Integration.

Hardware Knowledge:

- Candidates should understand: Hardware-Software Integration, Communication Hardware Platforms, Embedded Systems interaction, Network Architecture, LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN, IP Routing.

Project Management Experience:

- Should have experience in: End-to-end Project Delivery, Project Planning, Resource Allocation, Customer Management, Risk Management, Technical Reviews, Agile/Scrum, Estimation Techniques, WBS, Requirement Gathering, SRS & SDD Documentation, Project Scheduling, Team Leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end delivery of Java-based communication and defense software projects.

- Manage software development lifecycle from requirement gathering to deployment.

- Coordinate with Software, Hardware, Embedded, RF, and Networking teams.

- Prepare technical proposals, architecture documents, SRS, SDD, and project plans.

- Track project timelines, milestones, risks, budgets, and deliverables.

- Drive Agile/Scrum execution and project governance.

- Work closely with customers for project reviews and technical discussions.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time with high quality and contractual compliance.

- Mentor technical teams and provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
