Description: Project Manager Snowflake & DBT

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong expertise in Snowflake and DBT to lead end-to-end data engineering and analytics projects.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud data warehousing, modern data stack workflows, data transformation practices, and cross-functional project delivery.

This role requires excellent communication, stakeholder management, and the ability to work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

- Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of data platform and analytics projects.

- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering, Analytics, Product, IT, and Business Stakeholders.

- Conduct regular project status meetings, track progress, and ensure timely delivery.

- Manage project budgets, deliverables, documentation, and stakeholder expectations.

Data Platform & Technical Oversight:

- Oversee implementation and maintenance of Snowflake-based data warehouses.

- Ensure best practices in DBT models, transformations, testing, and documentation.

- Collaborate with data engineers on architecture decisions, data pipelines, performance optimization, and quality assurance.

- Review data workflows, orchestration setups, and ensure adherence to governance and security standards.

- Support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement for data infrastructure.

Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the primary point of contact between business teams and technical teams.

- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and prioritized roadmaps.

- Provide transparent communication on timelines, challenges, and solution strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Data Analytics, or related field.

- 3 - 7 years of project management experience in data engineering, analytics, or cloud environments.

- Proven hands-on knowledge or strong familiarity with:

- Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.

- DBT (Data Build Tool) data modeling, testing, version control, documentation.

- SQL and understanding of ELT/ETL concepts.

- Experience managing end-to-end lifecycle of data projects.

- Strong understanding of modern data stack components (Fivetran, Airflow, Databricks, AWS/GCP/Azure, etc.

- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Snowflake or DBT certifications.

- Experience in data governance, data quality frameworks, and data catalog tools.

- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Experience working with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.
