Job Title: Project Manager Finance (Accounts & Taxation)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Project Manager (PM) with a strong Finance background to lead and manage finance-related projects across Accounts, Taxation, Budgeting, and Compliance functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, financial processes, GST regulations, and cash flow management, while demonstrating excellent project execution and stakeholder coordination skills.

This role requires the ability to bridge finance and business operations, ensuring timely delivery of financial initiatives, regulatory compliance, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

- Lead end-to-end finance-related projects from planning to execution and closure

- Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies

- Coordinate with Accounts, Taxation, and Operations teams

- Monitor project budgets and ensure adherence to timelines

- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership

Finance & Accounting

- Oversee accounting processes and ensure compliance with financial policies

- Support financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls

- Drive improvements in financial processes and systems

Budgeting & Forecasting

- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles

- Analyze financial performance and variance reports

- Support cost optimization initiatives

Taxation & Compliance

- Manage tax preparation and filing processes

- Ensure compliance with GST and other statutory regulations

- Coordinate with auditors and external consultants when required

Cash Flow Management

- Monitor and optimize cash flow planning

- Ensure timely receivables and payables management

- Support working capital management initiatives

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

- 5+ years of experience in Finance, Accounts, or Taxation

- 2+ years of experience in Project Management (preferably finance-related projects)

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

- Hands-on knowledge of GST and taxation regulations

- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management

Preferred Skills

- PMP/PRINCE2 certification (preferred but not mandatory)

- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally or similar)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
