
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Wealth Management domain to lead strategic initiatives, drive business transformation, and deliver complex projects across business and technology teams. The role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, with responsibility for requirements, project delivery, process improvement, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of wealth management processes and financial services, combined with proven experience in project management, business analysis, and delivering complex initiatives in a global financial-services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic wealth management projects from initiation and planning through implementation and closure.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into clear functional and delivery requirements.
- Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, product teams, operations, and external partners.
- Develop project plans, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, resource plans, and delivery timelines.
- Manage project scope, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive process analysis and improvement initiatives across wealth management operations and business processes.
- Work with stakeholders to identify business gaps, define target-state processes, and develop practical improvement solutions.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, solution reviews, governance forums, and stakeholder meetings.
- Coordinate with technology and delivery teams to ensure requirements are appropriately translated into functional solutions.
- Track project progress, milestones, KPIs, budgets, dependencies, and overall delivery health.
- Prepare management dashboards, status reports, RAID logs, and executive-level project updates.
- Drive risk mitigation and issue resolution and proactively escalate critical dependencies and decisions.
- Coordinate testing, UAT, implementation, release, and post-production stabilization activities.
- Ensure project deliverables meet agreed scope, quality, timelines, and governance requirements.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior business and technology leaders.
- Support strategic planning, prioritization, and portfolio-level initiatives within the wealth management function.
- Drive continuous improvement in project governance, delivery processes, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to applicable financial-services, risk, compliance, and governance requirements.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior Business Analysts and project team members where required.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 12 - 18 years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, Transformation, Change Management, or related financial-services roles.
- Strong hands-on experience in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Asset Management, or related financial-services domains.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end projects and strategic transformation initiatives.
- Strong business analysis skills including requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, functional documentation, and stakeholder workshops.
- Strong project management skills covering planning, scheduling, scope, budget, risk, issue, dependency, and change management.
- Good understanding of wealth management products, processes, operations, and client/service journeys.
- Experience working with business, technology, operations, product, risk, compliance, and vendor teams.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, including engagement with senior leadership and global stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, testing, UAT, implementation, release, and production support processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic-thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex initiatives in a fast-paced global financial-services environment.
- Strong understanding of risk, governance, controls, and regulatory considerations within financial services.
Good to Have:
- Experience with wealth management platforms, portfolio management, advisory, client onboarding, or investment products.
- Experience working with global financial institutions and geographically distributed teams.
- Exposure to tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Power BI, or equivalent project and reporting platforms.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or relevant Business Analysis certification.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business, Technology, or a related discipline.
