Role Overview:
As a Project Manager at The News Keeper, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they align with business objectives and are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to define project scope, manage risks, and drive effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. This role directly impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of our technology initiatives, ultimately enhancing the value we deliver to our users and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to effectively manage project timelines and budgets.
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies to minimize potential disruptions.
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular status updates to stakeholders and escalating issues as needed.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices to maintain project quality and consistency.
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring projects are delivered within allocated resources.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to manage IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring successful delivery against defined objectives.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, building strong relationships and effectively communicating with diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project risks and issues.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and influence project teams.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
