At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects
We are looking for an experienced PMO to lead and drive a high-visibility bancassurance transformation project spanning Mumbai and Singapore. Based in Mumbai, you will work closely with senior stakeholders in Singapore to translate strategy into execution, ensure seamless delivery, manage complex stakeholder dynamics, and lead change management in a multi-location, cross-cultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Coordination:
- Own end-to-end implementation of the bancassurance improvement initiative, aligning it tightly with strategic goals
- Manage timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and cross-location coordination (Mumbai and Singapore)
- Facilitate strong collaboration between local and regional teams
Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Engage confidently with both working-level and executive stakeholders (including challenging ones)
- Deliver clear, concise updates, dashboards, and management reporting to senior leadership in Singapore
- Run effective working-level sessions to resolve issues and keep momentum high
Change Management:
- Design and execute change management strategies to drive adoption and stakeholder buy-in
- Proactively address resistance and build a culture of collaboration and transparency
Governance & Reporting:
- Establish and maintain project governance, risk management, and escalation mechanisms
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, KPIs, and status updates to the Singapore Executive Steering Committee
Ramp-Up Phase Management:
- Accelerate onboarding and knowledge transfer in the initial phase
- Ensure resources, tools, and processes are fully ready for execution
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Mandatory: Hands-on experience in bancassurance projects (distribution, process improvement, digital enablement, etc.)
- Strong PMO/project management track record in financial services or life insurance
- Proven expertise in change management and stakeholder engagement in complex, matrixed environments
- Experience managing cross-border (especially Asia) projects and cultural nuances
- Excellent verbal and written communication equally comfortable with C-suite presentations and detailed operational discussions
- Proactive, solution-oriented, highly organised, and able to thrive in ambiguity
- PMP / PRINCE2 or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of the Indian life insurance market (strong advantage)
