Project Management Office Role (Diversity Position) - Advisory Firm LOOKING FOR FEMALE CANDIDATES WITH 7-12 YEARS OF PMO EXPERIENCE IN TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS THE ROLE Responsible for ensuring all projects are running smoothly, on budget, and on time. Liaise with project team members to gather, analyse, and monitor project data, as well as prepare project status reports and ensure timely update to all stakeholders. To ensure success as a PMO analyst, you should be able to identify the business needs of the firm and meet them through effective project management and analysis. PMO should display analytical prowess and the ability to communicate effectively with staff members, management, and partners/associates. ROLE SPECIFICATIONS - Drive PMO activity including process analysis, system analysis, measuring success, and stakeholder and leadership reporting- Understand business processes and interpret them to define requirements, analyse current as-is processes and conceptualise to-be requirements - Support the development of detailed user requirements, user stories, test scenarios and test cases - Support solution developers and business subject matter experts with documentation of functional and technical processes - Analyse data and draw conclusions from the data as it relates to business processes - Develop Project Plan and Activities using Jira Dashboard - Analyse business processes, functions, and procedures to determine most effective business systems software to meet the needs of the organisation - Assist in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Planning and implementing project management strategies, based on templates and toolsets. - Ensuring project parameters meet agreed-upon needs and expectations. - Monitoring existing projects to ensure timely execution and completion. - Gathering and analysing project data to identify its weaknesses and resolve any time-related or budgetary snags. - Liaising with project team members and providing suggestions or solutions to unforeseen issues when needed. - Preparing project status reports for management review. - Communicating with partners/associates about the status and progress of their projects. - Ensuring all project strategies are in compliance with company standards. EXPERIENCE - 7 - 10 years experience as a PMO analyst, project manager, or a similar role. - Excellent knowledge of project management strategies, processes, and tools. - Ability to analyse a range of complex data and make decisions based on analytical findings. - Great computer skills and knowledge of PMO software tools, such as JIRA and MS Project. - Experience delivering Microsoft collaboration solutions within large, diverse and complex environments. EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Preferred - PMP Certification - Certified or trained in Agile / ITIL development and service management methodologies KEY COMPETENCIES - Should be able to transform business requirements into well-designed and documented software components - Should be willing to work across the technologies (Microsoft Technologies, Cloud and Open Source) - Should have deep understanding of various software project management frameworks and methodologies. - Should have setup Jira and Atlassian project management systems in organisations. - Experience of software and product processes and documentations. - Knowledge and understanding of software metrics, analytics and presentation of the same. - Should be able to plan project from start and track it to full closure. - Vendor management & evaluation
