A global consulting firm is seeking for two experienced project management professionals to support a critical strategic transformation initiative within a leading mining organization. This engagement presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the digital modernization and operational excellence of a major player in the metal and mining sector, while working at the intersection of traditional project management and cutting-edge mining technology.

The consultant will play a pivotal role in establishing and integrating a comprehensive Project Management Office (PMO) framework within the client organization. This initiative is part of a broader digital transformation strategy aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, safety standards, and strategic decision-making capabilities across multiple mining assets and locations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Establish and integrate PMO infrastructure to monitor and govern strategic technology initiatives including Collision Avoidance Systems and new mining asset technology assessments

- Develop comprehensive business cases and project charters for strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory compliance requirements

- Create and maintain weekly and monthly progress reporting systems that provide stakeholders with clear visibility into project performance, risk status, and milestone achievement across all monitored initiatives

- Design and implement communication frameworks including flyers and stakeholder updates to enhance transparency and proactively highlight project risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies

- Monitor and track value realization from strategic investments, particularly focusing on cost transformation initiatives and technology adoption outcomes in mining operations

Your Background:

- 4+ years of PMO experience for mid-level position or 7+ years for senior-level position, with demonstrated expertise in project monitoring, governance, and value tracking within large-scale transformation programs

- Metal/mining industry experience strongly preferred, though professionals with PMO experience in infrastructure, capital projects, energy, or other heavy industrial sectors will be considered

- Proven track record in establishing PMO frameworks, developing project governance structures, and implementing standardized project management methodologies

- Strong analytical and communication skills with experience in creating business cases, progress reports, and stakeholder communication materials for senior leadership audiences

- Technology transformation experience particularly valued, with understanding of digital transformation initiatives, collision avoidance systems, or mining technology assessment projects

- Educational background flexibility - prior PMO experience and demonstrated competency are prioritized over specific academic qualifications

This is a full-time 3 month (extendable) engagement on a primarily remote setup with some client/site visits.
