Job Title: Project Head Real Estate & Infrastructure (Commercial Construction)

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Project Head to lead the execution of a large-scale, technology-enabled commercial campus development project. This leadership role requires driving strategic and operational priorities across construction, governance, quality, compliance, and stakeholder management. The incumbent will closely collaborate with developers, consultants, and project partners to influence key decisions and ensure successful project delivery aligned with world-class standards. The role demands a high level of ownership, strong execution capabilities, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Project Execution:

- Lead the execution of the project within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

- Ensure rigorous day-to-day project tracking and provide periodic status reports and recommendations.

- Work closely with Project Management Consultants (PMC), architects, and consultants on planning, construction, sequencing, and project delivery.

- Oversee on-site construction activities, including commercial buildings, infrastructure, and ecosystem development.

- Ensure project execution aligns with approved plans, specifications, timelines, cost parameters, and quality benchmarks.

- Drive compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards across all project stakeholders.

- Resolve on-site execution challenges by proactively coordinating with consultants, contractors, and project teams.

Developer & Partner Management:

- Review and challenge designs, construction methodologies, material specifications, and execution plans.

- Ensure consultants deliver drawings, specifications, and technical documentation within agreed timelines.

- Monitor and validate site execution against approved commitments and contractual requirements.

- Collaborate effectively with developers, consultants, and contractors to achieve project objectives.

Technical Oversight & Engineering Excellence:

- Lead technical reviews across structural systems, steel construction, MEP services, finishes, landscaping, and infrastructure works.

- Ensure project specifications and quality standards are incorporated throughout design and execution.

- Drive engineering excellence across all phases of construction.

- Maintain the highest standards of safety, including fire prevention and protection systems, evacuation protocols, corrosion prevention measures, and construction safety practices.

- Promote the adoption of modern construction technologies and smart building concepts.

PMO, Governance & Risk Management:

- Establish and drive robust PMO frameworks covering project schedules, milestones, dashboards, risk registers, and review mechanisms.

- Proactively identify and mitigate risks impacting project timelines, cost, and quality.

- Ensure compliance with sustainability standards, international certifications (such as LEED), and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Drive timely closure of audit observations and implement effective corrective actions.

- Escalate critical issues with data-driven analysis and practical recommendations.

Stakeholder & Consultant Coordination:

- Coordinate effectively with architects, engineers, PMCs, specialist consultants, and internal stakeholders.

- Ensure seamless integration across design, construction, technology, and infrastructure components.

- Support leadership reviews through clear, fact-based project updates and recommendations.

Team Leadership & Capability Building:

- Lead and mentor project team members while fostering a culture of accountability and execution excellence.

- Contribute to building scalable real estate and infrastructure capabilities within the organization.

- Promote technical rigor, continuous improvement, and high-performance project delivery standards.

Technical & Professional Skills:

- Strong experience in leading large commercial construction projects.

- Deep understanding of steel construction systems and modern building technologies.

- Expertise in end-to-end project management, PMO frameworks, and large-project governance.

- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.

Digital & Technology Orientation:

- Proficiency in construction technologies and digital project management tools.

- Hands-on experience with:

- Familiarity with smart building concepts and technology-enabled project delivery.

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline.

- MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management or Project Management will be an added advantage.

Work Experience:

Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including:

1. Leading large-scale commercial construction projects.

2. Hands-on experience in commercial steel building construction and high-rise developments.

3. On-site project execution roles with reputed real estate developers or infrastructure organizations.

4. Exposure to complex, technology-enabled construction projects.
