The role involves working closely with lenders, investors, project sponsors, and internal stakeholders to structure, syndicate, and execute debt financing transactions. The ideal candidate should possess strong financial analysis, financial modelling, project finance, and transaction execution capabilities, along with a sound understanding of infrastructure financing.

Key Responsibilities:

Debt Syndication & Transaction Execution:

- Support end-to-end execution of debt syndication and sell-down transactions involving Term Loans, Project Loans, NCDs, Structured Debt, and Infrastructure Financing instruments.

- Assist in structuring financing solutions based on project cash flows, risk profiles, and lender requirements.

- Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, NBFCs, mutual funds, insurance companies, and other investors for debt placement activities.

- Participate in lender meetings, investor presentations, and transaction discussions.

- Support negotiations related to financing terms, covenants, security structures, and transaction documentation.

Financial Analysis & Modelling:

- Build, review, and maintain detailed financial models for infrastructure and project finance transactions.

- Conduct project viability assessments, sensitivity analysis, scenario modelling, and cash flow forecasting.

- Analyze debt servicing capabilities including DSCR, LLCR, PLCR, and project returns.

- Evaluate financing structures and recommend optimal debt solutions for clients.

Credit & Industry Research:

- Perform credit assessment and risk analysis of borrowers, projects, and sponsors.

- Track regulatory developments, sector trends, and market conditions impacting project financing.

Transaction Documentation:

- Prepare Information Memorandums (IM), Pitch Books, Financial Teasers, Lender Presentations, and Investment Notes.

- Support due diligence processes by coordinating with legal, technical, insurance, and financial advisors.

- Review financing documents, sanction letters, facility agreements, and transaction-related documentation.

- Maintain data rooms and support compliance requirements throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management:

- Coordinate with project sponsors, lenders, consultants, rating agencies, legal advisors, and internal teams.

- Track transaction milestones and ensure timely closure of financing activities.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with lending institutions and market participants.

- Support senior management in client interactions and business development initiatives.

MIS & Reporting:

- Maintain transaction pipelines, deal trackers, and management reports.

- Monitor financing timelines, approvals, and documentation status.

- Prepare periodic reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and management reviews.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Qualified CA, MBA (Finance), CFA, or equivalent qualification from Tier I or Tier II institutions.

- 3+ years of experience in Project Finance, Debt Syndication, Infrastructure Finance, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, or Financial Advisory.

- Sound understanding of debt markets and infrastructure financing structures.

- Experience working on infrastructure transactions involving Power, Roads, Ports, Renewables, or Transportation sectors.

- Strong financial modelling and transaction execution experience.

- Exposure to lender engagement and debt placement activities will be highly preferred.

Educational Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA), OR

- MBA/PGDM in Finance from a reputed institution, OR

- CFA (preferred)

- Successful execution and closure of debt syndication transactions.

- Accuracy and quality of financial models and transaction documentation.

- Timely completion of due diligence and financing processes.

- Achievement of fundraising and debt placement targets.

- Quality of stakeholder and lender relationships.

- Compliance with regulatory and documentation requirements.
