About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Director (Wind+Solar) to lead the end-to-end execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects, with a primary focus on Maharashtra and oversight across other Indian states. The successful candidate will be a visionary leader responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and exceptional stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution Leadership:

- Lead and manage the entire project lifecycle for utility-scale Solar and Wind power projects, from initial planning and development through to successful commissioning and handover.

- Drive comprehensive execution activities, including civil, electrical, and mechanical works, ensuring seamless integration and timely completion.

- Develop and implement robust project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to meet ambitious project timelines, budget constraints, and stringent quality benchmarks.

Multi-State Project Oversight:

- Provide strategic monitoring and guidance for renewable energy projects across various Indian states, with direct, hands-on responsibility for all projects within Maharashtra.

- Foster strong collaboration and coordination with diverse cross-functional teams, including Land Acquisition, Design & Engineering, Procurement, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M), to ensure unified and efficient project delivery.

Stakeholder Management:

- Act as the primary liaison and build strong, collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, government authorities, local communities, and DISCOMs (Distribution Companies), to facilitate smooth project implementation.

- Conduct regular, in-depth project reviews with senior management, presenting comprehensive progress reports, identifying potential risks, and developing proactive mitigation plans.

Resource Planning & Team Management:

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary project team, including dedicated Project Managers, Site Engineers, Quality & Safety Officers, and a network of contractors.

- Strategically plan and optimize the deployment of manpower, machinery, and subcontractor resources to align precisely with project requirements and maximize efficiency.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure unwavering adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements across all project sites.

- Implement rigorous monitoring protocols for project sites to enforce strict compliance with established quality benchmarks and the company's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.

Financial Control:

- Maintain vigilant oversight of project budgets and expenditures, proactively identifying variances and implementing timely corrective actions to ensure financial discipline.

- Review, approve, and oversee project Bills of Quantities (BOQs), contractor payments, and billing schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms.

Qualifications:

- A Master's degree or PMP certification.

Experience:

- 15+ years of progressive experience in project management and execution within the renewable energy sector, with a strong emphasis on utility-scale Solar and Wind power projects.

- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale projects, preferably with multi-state exposure in India.

- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Required Skills:

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
