Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Project Director to lead and deliver large-scale offshore engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing complex, multi-site global projects, driving operational excellence, overseeing marine logistics, and ensuring successful project execution while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Global Multi-Site Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale offshore projects across multiple locations.
- Develop and implement project strategies aligned with organizational objectives and client expectations.
- Provide leadership to cross-functional and international project teams, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project performance and operational efficiency.
Client, Partner & Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, partners, and key stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications and executive-level discussions.
- Ensure client satisfaction through proactive engagement, timely reporting, and successful project delivery.
- Manage stakeholder expectations while resolving critical project challenges effectively.
Yard Operations, Marine Logistics & Offshore Installation:
- Oversee construction readiness, fabrication activities, heavy-lift operations, load-out planning, and offshore installation campaigns.
- Manage marine logistics, vessel mobilization, transportation planning, and coastal shipyard operations.
- Ensure safe and efficient execution of skid/load-out activities and offshore installation in compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and marine teams to achieve project milestones.
Commercial, Risk & Project Governance:
- Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and commercial performance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while implementing effective risk management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, HSE requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor project KPIs and provide regular updates to senior leadership and clients.
- Lead governance reviews, project audits, and executive reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Marine, or Electrical Engineering.
- PMP, PgMP, or an equivalent Project Management certification is highly preferred.
- 20+ years of experience managing large offshore engineering, EPC/EPCI, marine construction, or heavy infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience leading global, multi-site project teams and delivering complex engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of offshore installation, heavy-lift operations, marine logistics, fabrication yards, and construction management.
- Excellent commercial, contractual, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
