The Project Controller
The Project Controller is responsible for planning, monitoring, and controlling all schedule and cost aspects of capital Greenfield and Brownfield projects. The role ensures that the project remains on track in terms of cost, timeline, resource utilization, and compliance with internal controls and reporting standards.
Schedule development and Control:
- Fully understand the scope of the project, identify the major milestones and set clear priorities for the project team.
- Should be well versed with Microsoft projects(MSP) tool to develop L-1/L-2/L-3 schedules and updating it on weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis depending on quantum of the project.
Project Reporting/Reviews:
- Co-ordinate with site team to derive detailed quantitative scope of work( upto Level-5) and prepare weekly plan vs actual for construction activities for all disciplines inline with approved baseline schedules.
- Co-ordinate with all internal stakeholders and arrange monthly IRMs and FRMs. Take accountability for readiness of review reports, prepare minutes of meeting and follow up for action points.
Process improvement:
- Should be able to develop and implement systems to improve the planning and control activities in the department.
- Develop various cost and schedule dashboards to establish the robust controlling mechanism.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
- Track and manage project budgets in coordination with project managers and finance.
