Project & Operational Manager - Retail Loan

Job Role :

The Project & Operations Manager - Retail Loans will be responsible for managing end-to-end projects and operational processes across secured retail products such as Home Loans (HL), Loan Against Property (LAP), and Auto Loans.

The role involves driving operational excellence, process optimization, and technology transformation initiatives within the mortgage lending ecosystem. The incumbent is expected to combine strong domain expertise in loan operations with project management skills and technological understanding, while ensuring adherence to risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.

Job Context :

1. Strategic Planning :

- Lead end-to-end execution of mortgage operations and technology transformation projects, ensuring delivery within defined scope, timelines, and budgets.

- Develop project charters, timelines, RACI matrices, risk registers, and success metrics.

2. Cross-functional Leadership :

- Act as a bridge between business, operations, IT, compliance, and external stakeholders.

- Facilitate governance forums, steering committee meetings, and sprint reviews to ensure alignment.

3. Market Research and Analysis :

- Conduct market and industry analysis to identify best practices, emerging trends, and opportunities for process improvements and digital transformation.

4. Product/process Development Oversight :

- Oversee project lifecycle from concept to implementation, including requirement gathering, development, testing, and launch.

- Ensure optimal utilization of resources and adherence to timelines.

5. Customer Focus :

- Focus on improving customer journeys by analyzing feedback and identifying process bottlenecks.

- Ensure solutions are customer-centric and enhance overall satisfaction.

6. Performance Monitoring and Reporting :

- Identify risks, bottlenecks, and operational challenges proactively.

- Ensure timely escalation and resolution.

- Provide structured reporting on project performance and outcomes.

7. Stakeholder Management :

- Maintain regular communication with senior management, sourcing teams, operations, and external partners.

- Align expectations and ensure transparency in progress updates.
