The candidate should have 712 years of overall experience, including at least 46 years in BFSI liabilities business, preferably in Current Accounts or MSME/SME banking organisations.


Objective of the Role:

The Program Manager - Current Accounts will be responsible for launching, operationalizing, and scaling Banks Current Account programme. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders (Tech, Product, Operations, Compliance, Business) and external partners (aggregators, FinTechs, SME platforms, and corporates) to deliver differentiated Current Account offerings.

The role will emphasize acquisition execution, servicing, campaign management, and business analytics while ensuring compliance with regulatory norms. This is a business-critical position supporting the Business Head in achieving scale, profitability, and customer engagement for the Current Account portfolio.


Job Description / Responsibilities:

Programme Execution & Partnerships

- Implement the go-to-market strategy for Current Accounts across key customer segments (SME, MSME, corporates, FinTechs).

- Drive partnerships with aggregators, FinTechs, and SME platforms to facilitate Current Account acquisition.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for ecosystem partners and internal teams for onboarding and integrations.


Stakeholder Coordination

- Collaborate with Tech, Product, Operations, Compliance, and Sales teams to ensure smooth account opening journeys (API, BYOD, physical/digital).

- Ensure operational readiness, timely resolution of client and partner issues, and adherence to SLAs.


Business Growth & Campaigns


- Support business targets by driving account acquisition, AMB growth, and product usage.


- Conceptualize and execute sales and marketing campaigns for SMEs/MSMEs in collaboration with marketing teams.

- Monitor customer behavior and provide actionable insights to improve account stickiness and balances.


Governance & Compliance

- Ensure strict compliance with RBI guidelines and internal policies for Current Accounts.

- Maintain accurate MIS, dashboards, and reports for business tracking.

- Support regulatory and audit requirements by coordinating closely with Compliance and Risk teams.


Required Skills

- Hands-on experience in liabilities, current account management, or SME banking.

- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver on business KPIs.

- Strong execution mindset with programme/project management experience.

- Good understanding of SME/MSME customer needs, transaction banking, and cash management.

- Analytical capability with experience in data-driven decision-making.

- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
