
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Consultation & Evaluation
- Conduct detailed consultations to assess patient history, infertility causes, medical conditions, and treatment suitability.
-Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests such as hormonal assays, ultrasounds, semen analysis, and other fertility-related investigations.
- Provide clear, empathetic counselling to patients about treatment options and success probabilities.
2. Treatment Planning & Management
- Develop customized treatment plans, including IVF, ICSI, IUI, ovulation induction, fertility preservation, and other ART procedures.
- Monitor patient progress throughout treatment cycles, including follicular monitoring and endometrial assessment.
- Coordinate with embryologists, andrologists, and nursing teams to ensure seamless treatment delivery.
3. Clinical Procedures
Perform or supervise procedures such as:
- Oocyte retrieval
- Embryo transfer
- IUI procedures
- Ovum pick-up and related ART interventions
- Collaborate with lab teams on embryo grading, culture management, and laboratory protocols.
4. Patient Support & Communication
- Provide ongoing guidance and emotional support to patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Handle patient queries professionally and ensure transparent communication regarding outcomes, risks, and next steps.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient medical records.
5. Compliance, Quality & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to ART regulations, clinic protocols, and medical ethics.
- Maintain high standards of clinical quality, safety, and infection control.
- Participate in audits, case reviews, and clinical performance reporting.
6. Research, Training & Collaboration
- Stay updated with advancements in reproductive medicine, ART technologies, and global IVF trends.
- Participate in clinical meetings, training programs, and continuous medical education (CME).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including lab staff, counsellors, and administrative teams.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS + MD/MS in Obstetrics & Gynecology or DNB (OBG).
- Fellowship or specialized training in Reproductive Medicine / Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).
- 4-7 years of experience in infertility treatment and IVF/ART procedures.
- Strong understanding of ovarian stimulation protocols, embryology workflows, and end-to-end IVF processes.
- Excellent communication, counselling, and patient-handling skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make evidence-based clinical decisions.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with advanced ART protocols (donor cycles, surrogacy, fertility preservation).
Working knowledge of IVF lab operations and cutting-edge reproductive technologies.
Proficiency in EMR systems and digital medical tools.
