Role Purpose:
The Production Manager - CNC Plant will lead end-to-end CNC manufacturing operations for diamond-studded gold and platinum jewelry. The role is responsible for driving high OTIF and fast TAT, optimizing cost per gram, ensuring first-time-right quality as per customer specifications, and leveraging latest CNC technologies to improve productivity, precision, and throughput.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Delivery Excellence:
- Lead daily CNC production planning and execution to ensure high OTIF and committed TAT.
- Drive capacity planning, line balancing, and workflow optimization to meet peak demand and export timelines.
- Ensure adherence to customer-specific quality standards and design specifications.
Process Excellence & Cost Management:
- Improve productivity and yield; reduce rework, scrap, and cost per gram.
- Monitor and improve FTA (First Time Acceptance) through process discipline and quality checks.
- Identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, automation, and process simplification.
Technology & CNC Operations:
- Drive adoption and effective utilization of latest CNC jewelry manufacturing technologies and machines.
- Work closely with CAD, RPT, and Product Development teams to ensure manufacturability and faster sample-to-production conversion.
- Lead machine capability enhancement, tooling optimization, and preventive maintenance planning.
Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
- Ensure consistent product quality for gold and platinum CNC jewelry as per buyer and market requirements.
- Drive Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives within CNC operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, safety standards, and quality protocols.
People Leadership & Capability Building:
- Lead, mentor, and develop CNC supervisors, programmers, and machine operators.
- Build a high-performance shop-floor culture with focus on discipline, ownership, and delivery excellence.
- Drive skill upgradation on new CNC technologies and advanced machining practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with PPC, Merchandising, Quality, Exim, and Supply Chain teams for seamless order fulfillment.
- Support customer audits, technical discussions, and process walkthroughs when required.

Desired Profile:
Education:
- Engineering/PG (Mechanical / Production / Industrial) preferred
- Diploma / specialized certification in CNC machining is an added advantage
Experience
- 12-18 years of experience in CNC-based jewelry manufacturing
- Strong hands-on exposure to gold and platinum CNC jewelry production
- Proven track record of managing OTIF, TAT, cost, and quality KRAs
Technical & Functional Skills:
- Deep understanding of CNC machines, tooling, fixtures, and jewelry manufacturing processes
- Strong knowledge of latest CNC technologies used in precision jewelry manufacturing
- Process optimization, capacity planning, and production analytics
- Working knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma is preferred
