Key Responsibilities :
Production Operations Management :
- Lead and oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations across all production departments.
- Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production targets.
- Monitor production schedules and optimize manufacturing capacity utilization.
- Ensure uninterrupted production flow and efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Drive operational efficiency while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Production Planning & Execution :
- Collaborate with planning, procurement, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production execution.
- Develop and implement production plans aligned with customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor production performance and take corrective actions to address bottlenecks.
- Ensure effective coordination across manufacturing functions.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement :
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Implement best practices to improve production efficiency and operational performance.
- Lead continuous improvement projects across manufacturing operations.
Quality Management :
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, specifications, and manufacturing procedures.
- Work closely with quality teams to minimize defects, rework, and customer complaints.
- Drive first-pass yield improvements and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Support internal and external audits and compliance requirements.
Safety & Compliance :
- Ensure strict adherence to EHS policies and statutory regulations.
- Promote a strong safety culture across manufacturing operations.
- Conduct periodic reviews of safety practices and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Cost & Resource Optimization :
- Monitor manufacturing costs and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
- Optimize manpower productivity and machine utilization.
- Minimize production losses, scrap generation, and wastage.
- Ensure efficient inventory utilization and material consumption.
Team Leadership & Workforce Management :
- Lead, mentor, and develop production teams across shifts and departments.
- Establish performance goals and monitor team productivity.
- Drive employee engagement, skill development, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring :
- Track key manufacturing KPIs and prepare management reports.
- Analyze production performance trends and recommend improvement strategies.
- Present operational updates to senior leadership.
- Drive data-based decision-making across production operations.
Required Qualifications :
Education :
- Master's Degree in Operations Management or Manufacturing Management preferred.
Experience :
- 15 - 20 years of experience in Production, Manufacturing Operations, or Plant Operations.
- Minimum 8 - 10 years in a leadership role managing large manufacturing teams.
- Extensive experience in Transformer Manufacturing, Conductor Manufacturing, Electrical Equipment Manufacturing, or Power Equipment Industries.
- Proven experience managing multi-section manufacturing operations.
