About the Role:

A leading manufacturing company is seeking a seasoned Production Head to oversee plant operations, drive production efficiency, and ensure quality output in alignment with automotive industry standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on experience managing high-volume manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Leadership

- Lead and manage end-to-end production operations to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets.

- Implement best manufacturing practices, Lean methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure strict adherence to automotive quality standards (TS16949, IATF, ISO).

- Monitor product quality, implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

- Maintain high standards of workplace safety, 5S, and regulatory compliance.

Process Optimization:

- Drive process improvements to reduce wastage, downtime, and production costs.

- Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure equipment reliability.

- Analyze production KPIs and implement strategic improvements.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

- Lead, train, and mentor production supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor teams.

- Coordinate with QA, SCM, Purchase, Design, and Maintenance departments.

- Interface with senior management for planning, performance updates, and strategic decisions.

Planning & Reporting:

- Plan production schedules based on customer orders and forecasted demand.

- Maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and productivity metrics.

- Ensure timely execution of NPD (New Product Development) and engineering changes.

Requirements:

- 10 to 15 years of experience in production management.

- Mandatory experience in automotive or auto-component manufacturing.

- Strong knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and manufacturing excellence practices.

- Proven ability to manage large production teams and high-pressure operations.

- Engineering degree (Mechanical/Automobile/Production) preferred.

- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and plant-floor decision-making skills.
