Description:
Senior Manager/Chief Manager - Product Strategy.
Location: Mumbai.
Department: Distribution Alliances & Product Strategy.
Reporting to : Head of Product.
About Role:
- The Product Strategy Manager will lead initiatives to design, position, and evolve investment products that meet the needs of diverse distribution channels and clients.
- This role requires strong analytical skills, market intelligence, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure product competitiveness and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Strategy:
- Drive product feasibility analysis and research for new launches and enhancements.
- Partner with Investment Management, Strategy, Distribution, and Senior Leadership to identify, scope, and prioritize innovative product ideas.
- Develop creative structures for pooled vehicles, managed accounts, and differentiated offerings.
Market Intelligence & Positioning:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities in equity and debt segments.
- Conduct data analysis on mutual fund performance across categories to identify positioning strategies.
- Recommend product enhancements based on market insights and client needs.
Marketing & Communication:
- Prepare and periodically update product collaterals: PPTs, leaflets, term sheets, FAQs.
- Draft articles and thematic write-ups on products, macroeconomic trends, and investment themes.
Sales Enablement:
- Provide proactive data insights and inputs to empower Sales teams for client engagement.
- Respond to ad hoc requests from branches and distributors with timely product information.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain high accuracy in sourcing and analyzing data from Bloomberg, Capitaline, CRISIL MF Software, and other databases.
- Track performance metrics and competitive intelligence for internal stakeholders.
Special Projects:
- Lead strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects aimed at product innovation and differentiation.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of mutual funds, PMS, and alternative investment products.
- Expertise in product lifecycle management, market research, and competitive analysis.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (Bloomberg, CRISIL MF, Excel).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Comfort with ambiguity and making informed choices in dynamic markets.
Qualifications:
- CA or MBA (Finance/Strategy) or equivalent from Tier 1 or tier 2 institutes.
- Additional certifications like CFA will be preferred.
