Product Specialist - Private Equity

About the Role:

- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our dynamic team, focusing on fund accounting and financial reporting solutions for the alternative investment industry.

- The ideal candidate will combine strong domain knowledge with product management expertise to deliver high-impact solutions tailored for hedge funds, private equity firms, and asset managers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead product initiatives focused on fund accounting and financial reporting for alternative investments.

- Gather and analyze business requirements, converting them into detailed product specifications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, operations, and client services.

- Work closely with stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.

- Prioritize and manage product backlogs, ensuring timely and quality delivery of features.

- Act as a subject matter expert on fund structures and fee calculations.

- Continuously monitor industry trends and incorporate relevant updates into product planning.

- Ensure user stories and product documentation are clear, detailed, and aligned with business needs.

- Actively participate in UAT and implementation cycles to ensure product accuracy and completeness.

What You'll Need:

- Minimum 6 years of overall experience, with at least 2 years in Product Management.

- Basic understanding of Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting within the alternative investment industry.

- Familiarity with fund structures such as Master-Feeder, Fund of Funds, Private Equity, Side Pockets, and Committed Capital structures.

- Exposure to Management and Performance Fee structures and calculation methods is a plus.

- Strong understanding of post-trade lifecycle and reconciliation processes including Trade, Position, Cash, and Swaps.
