About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner Payroll & Timekeeping to lead the evolution and optimization of enterprise workforce management solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise in Payroll, Timekeeping, and Workforce Management systems, along with strong experience working with UKG (Kronos) platforms.

This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, HR, Payroll, Operations, and Technology teams to define product strategy, prioritize requirements, and deliver scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own and drive the product roadmap for Payroll and Timekeeping platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements.

- Partner with HR, Payroll, Operations, and IT stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify technology-driven solutions.

- Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements.

- Translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, and actionable product backlogs.

- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams throughout the product lifecycle.

- Lead requirement workshops, stakeholder discussions, and solution design sessions.

- Define product vision, priorities, and release plans while ensuring successful execution.

- Collaborate with development teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and user-centric solutions.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across payroll and workforce management processes.

- Identify opportunities to enhance UKG platform capabilities, automation, reporting, and user experience.

- Support system upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and transformation initiatives.

- Ensure payroll processes maintain compliance, accuracy, audit readiness, and operational effectiveness.

- Participate in testing activities, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production rollout planning.

- Monitor product performance and recommend improvements based on business feedback and operational metrics.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 312 years of experience in Payroll Technology, Timekeeping Systems, Workforce Management, or related HR Technology platforms.

- Strong hands-on experience with UKG solutions including Kronos Workforce Central, UKG Dimensions, UKG Pro, or related UKG products.

- Proven experience working as a Product Owner, Functional Lead, Business Analyst, or Solution Consultant within Payroll and Workforce Management environments.

- Deep understanding of Payroll processing, Timekeeping, Workforce Management, Scheduling, Attendance, Leave Management, and related business processes.

- Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.

- Experience managing product backlogs, prioritization frameworks, and Agile delivery processes.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with Payroll and HR system integrations.

- Knowledge of Workforce Management best practices and process optimization methodologies.

- Exposure to enterprise HRIS platforms and payroll ecosystems.

- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or product-led delivery environments.

- Understanding of reporting, analytics, and workforce compliance requirements.

- Experience supporting global payroll and workforce management operations will be an advantage.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications in Product Management, Agile, Scrum, UKG, or Workforce Management solutions will be an added advantage.
