Key responsibilities include:
- Product Research & Evaluation: Support the Product Head in identifying, evaluating and onboarding investment products from issuers, AMCs and asset managers across asset classes for distribution to HNI and UHNW clients.
- Due Diligence & Analysis: Conduct rigorous first-principles analysis on products under consideration including credit analysis, fund manager research, performance attribution, peer benchmarking and risk assessment and translate findings into clear recommendations.
- Performance & Market Tracking: Continuously monitor performance of onboarded products, asset class and market trends, regulatory developments and competitor activity; flag actionable insights to the Product Head and senior leadership.
- Content & Collateral: Prepare high-quality product notes, pitch decks, FAQs, training material and client-facing collateral that enable the wealth distribution team to confidently advise clients.
- MIS, Dashboards & Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards and reports covering AUM, flows, product mix, performance and other key metrics; produce periodic reviews for senior management.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Be the day-to-day point of contact with external partners (AMCs, issuers, rating agencies, platforms) and internal stakeholders (Distribution, Compliance, Operations, Risk, Marketing, Technology) to drive smooth execution across the product lifecycle.
- Sales Enablement: Support the wealth distribution team with timely responses on product queries, training sessions, road-shows and ad-hoc analytical asks; help embed products into the day-to-day RM workflow.
- Process & Project Execution: Take ownership of specific projects end-to-end defining the problem, structuring the analysis, driving execution across teams and delivering outcomes on time.
- Strategic Inputs: Contribute to broader product strategy discussions competitive positioning, pricing, product gaps, white-space opportunities and platform-level initiative.
Key requirements include:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems into structured frameworks and arrive at clear, well-reasoned conclusions.
- Sharp on data comfortable working extensively with Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with BI / data visualisation tools is a plus.
- Quick learner with genuine curiosity about financial markets, products and the wealth management ecosystem; willingness to dig deep into unfamiliar topics from first principles.
- Strong stakeholder management ability to engage credibly with senior internal stakeholders and external partners despite being early in career.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce crisp notes, decks and updates suitable for senior leadership consumption.
- High ownership and street-smart execution takes initiative, anticipates next steps, and is comfortable operating with limited supervision.
- Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy, especially when working with numbers, data and external-facing material.
- Comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities and a fast-paced environment; ability to manage multiple workstreams without losing sight of priorities.
Preferred qualifications include:
- MBA from a Tier-1 institute (preferred); strong undergraduate credentials with a quantitative or finance bent are an added advantage.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Prior experience in BFSI - wealth management, asset management, banking, broking, insurance or financial services is preferred.
- Experience in management consulting, strategy, corporate development or research roles within or adjacent to financial services is also valued.
- CFA (any level cleared), FRM, NISM certifications or other relevant credentials are a plus.
