Product Manager - Tech/Software

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with deep subject matter expertise in institutional asset management to own the strategy and execution of our Investor Allocation modules. In this role, you will bridge domain complexity with modern software engineering, transforming hedge fund workflows, fee structures, and allocation models into scalable product features.

Key Responsibilities:

- Product Ownership: Define and execute the product vision, roadmap, and detailed feature specifications for Investor Allocation modules from concept through delivery.

- Technical & Domain Alignment: Partner closely with software engineers and system architects to translate complex domain logic into clear functional specifications and software design.

- Business Strategy & Reporting: Build business cases, ROI analyses, budgets, and delivery timelines while keeping clients and executive leadership aligned on progress and priorities.

- Market & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings to maintain a market-leading product position.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Product Managers across distinct product lines to drive enterprise-wide, cross-cutting initiatives.

Key Requirements:

- Experience: 8-12 years of industry experience in Investor Allocation, including at least 2 years in a dedicated Product Management role within a tech/software environment.

- Domain Mastery: Deep expertise in institutional asset management and hedge fund operations, including complex fund vehicles (master-feeder, side pockets, hybrid structures), multi-currency frameworks, and unitization.

- Fee Structure Knowledge: Strong understanding of diverse fee mechanicsincluding management/performance fees, high-water marks, hurdle rates, and tiered structures.

- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional critical thinking with a proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams, engineers, and external client stakeholders.

- Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on distilling complex financial concepts into clear product documentation.
